How do I schedule a parent tour?
Parent tours are available throughout the year and are very flexible.  By contacting the office and letting us know your preferences, we will set-up the tour and contact you with confirming the date/time.  Zion is usually able to work with your schedule and set up times that work best for your family.

Does Zion allow student visits?
Absolutely!  As a matter of fact, we encourage it!  Whether you would like to come a one big family or have your student(s) experience Zion for a day on their own, we will make it work.  Again, contact the office to set up a visit.

Does Zion provide transportation?
If you reside in the Central (NYA) School District, they provide bussing for K-8.

Where do students typically go after graduating from Zion?
After graduating from Zion, students typically find their way to either Mayer Lutheran High School or Central High School (NYA).  Other high schools that have recently seen Zion students are Belle Plaine High School, Waconia High School, and Southwest Christian High School.  Zion is also proud of all of their students, with a recent survey showing that 100% of recent high school graduates from Zion pursue post-secondary academic endeavors.

What if we can't afford Zion?
The short answer - You can!  Zion will make sure of it!  Zion believes that every child should  be able to benefit from what Zion has to offer,  Because of this, no family will ever be turned away because of an inability to pay.  Zion invites all families to join us, and will work with each family individually to find a figure that works, in some instances, eliminating tuition all together.  As always, this is a confidential process.  Contact the office with any questions or to set up a time to meet.

What if my family does not belong to Zion Lutheran Church?
While Zion would love to have you as part of our church family as well, we will never deny enrollment because a family does not belong to our church.  As a matter of fact, in 2017, almost half of our students were non-members.

When can my child start school?
Zion accepts all children that are 3 years-old or older as of September 1, of that specific school year.  Students must also be completely potty-trained in order to attend Zion Lutheran School.
